What Is B.AI? Justin Sun's AI Relay Station, Audited

Last updated: August 23, 2026 · Verified vs. self-reported, sources dated · Not investment advice
Real product, unaudited numbers, and the clearest tell yet of where Sun thinks the next rail is. B.AI, launched April 12, 2026, resells access to Claude, GPT, Gemini and China's leading models behind one API key and one crypto-settled balance, with wallet login and agent-payment protocols (x402, ERC-8004) built in. The product claims are user-checkable; the growth numbers — 1.7M registered users, a daily $10,000 subsidy pool, a "tens-of-billions token subsidy" — trace to Sun's own announcements. The strategic read: in his 2013 story he says he bought the asset; in 2026 he is verifiably building the toll booth between wallets and every frontier model at once.

The 2013 → 2026 pattern

Our audit of the 2013 Bitcoin story found the investment tale unverifiable but the positioning playbook thoroughly real: get inside the era's biggest paradigm shift early, and treat attention as a compounding asset. B.AI is that same playbook executed with 2026 resources — instead of claiming to buy the rail's asset, he is building the metering point where every model's traffic can be charged, subsidizing adoption the way exchanges once subsidized trading, and switching his own public AI usage to it ("I've moved all my AI to B.AI") as manufactured proof. Whether B.AI wins or not, the capital allocation is the signal: the biggest self-promoter in crypto has decided the agent-payment rail is the thing worth owning next.

What it does — and doesn't — prove about agent payments

B.AI is the largest named commitment to x402-style payments so far. It still doesn't prove organic demand: Chainalysis counted 100M+ x402 transactions by spring 2026 with roughly half resembling test traffic, and CoinDesk reported in March 2026 that micropayment demand "is just not there yet." Our own position is on record in the paradigm-experiment ledger: we watch this rail quarterly with pre-registered conditions, and a subsidized land grab is exactly the moment to keep the distinction between registrations and paying usage sharp.

FAQ

What is B.AI?

B.AI is an AI relay station launched by Justin Sun on April 12, 2026: one API key and one balance that resell access to Claude, GPT, Gemini and leading Chinese models (MiniMax, Kimi, GLM, DeepSeek), with wallet-based login, card or crypto payment, and agent-payment plumbing (x402, ERC-8004) built in.

Is B.AI an official partner of OpenAI, Anthropic or Google?

No partnership has been announced by any of the model providers as of August 2026. B.AI presents itself as a relay/aggregator; how its access arrangements sit with each provider's resale terms is publicly undocumented — treat that as an open question, not a verdict either way.

How many users does B.AI have?

Sun stated 1.7 million registered users (his own announcement; not independently audited). Heavy incentives — 50,000-point starter credits, 1:1 recharge matching, a stated daily $10,000 subsidy pool — mean registered users and paying demand are different numbers.

What does B.AI signal about the agent economy?

It is the largest named commitment yet to x402-style agent payments: real subsidy money now sits behind the rail. It does not yet prove demand — Chainalysis counted 100M+ x402 transactions by spring 2026 but roughly half looked like testing, and CoinDesk reported in March 2026 that organic demand wasn't there yet. Watch paying usage, not registrations.
